Miners must use only electricity produced by renewable energy sources, and the amount of energy produced must be known as well as the consumption of their computer or mining equipment. The goal is to avoid any attempt at « greenwashing » and to guarantee an absolutely carbon-free cryptocurrency. Furthermore, only zero-emission miners are allowed to mine and contribute to the development of Greenercoin, how is this possible? Thanks to the green contract that we ourselves will issue to the mining company that we deem suitable for the project.

In a second step we will encourage sustainable consumption by offering a marketplace dedicated to environmentally friendly products. On this platform, users, i.e. you, will be able to buy a wide range of products all carefully selected for their sustainability and low environmental impact. Greenercoin will ensure that the products offered are genuinely eco-friendly, avoiding greenwashing practices. If you want examples of products that we could put on the marketplace, no worries, here is a non-exhaustive list:
1/ Renewable energy sources, the purchase of solar panels on our marketplace will indeed be possible.
2/Clothing made from sustainable and ecological materials, such as organic cotton, linen, hemp or recycled wool.
3/Energy-efficient electronics and appliances, which consume less energy and have a longer lifespan than traditional appliances.
3 Promoting Sustainable Practices, Our Tree Planting
As a final example of Greenercoin’s commitment to sustainability and environmental protection, we have put in place an innovative mechanism to encourage users of our platform to contribute directly to the fight against climate change.
